This article will guide you through managing a Permission
*Please note, you may require system administrator privileges to complete this process.*
Viewing the Permission tab
The Permissions tab can be found on the left-hand menu.
Filtering the Permission list
The Permission list can be filtered by All | Active | Inactive. Which allows you to see permissions that are currently being used, ones that have been used in the past, and all permissions created in the school.
Viewing the Permission responses
Each permission can be expanded to view the responses given by parents and guardians. To see the responses, select the green arrow beside the question, to display the below dropdown:
This section allows you to view the 'Yes', 'No' and 'No Responses' given by parents and guardians. You can also filter by year group, or utilise the search bar to find individual responses.
Managing the Permission Questions
Permissions can be edited, deleted and exported after creation. These options are available by clicking the 'Actions' button to the right of the question:
Please be aware that this will not remove the email sent to parents/guardians, but will simply remove the question from requesting an answer.
Sending the Permission Questions
Follow the steps below to send Permissions requests to parents and guardians:
Please Note: These will need to be filtered by year group, unless they are going to the whole school.
- Select the 'Students' tab from the left hand menu
- Find the student you wish to issue the permission questions to, and select the 'Actions' button to the right of the screen. From the drop down, click 'Permission Update Invitation':
- Enter the expiry date and review the Permissions Update Email note, then select 'confirm':
- To send the permission requests in bulk, hover over the 'Tools' button at the top right of the screen & select 'Request Permission Update':
Removing the Permission Questions
Follow the steps below to remove the responses for Permissions:
- Select the 'Students' tab from the left hand menu
- Find the student you wish to remove the permission questions from, and select the 'Actions' button to the right of the screen. From the drop down, click 'Edit'
- From the tab along the top of the screen, click 'Permissions'
- Then select 'Remove'
- A confirmation pop-up will display, select 'OK'
