Why can't a 2nd parent/guardian field be left blank in profile update?

If there is only one parent/guardian when removing the 2nd parent information you need to ensure that you have unticked the lives with and shared information fields also otherwise the option to add a 2nd parent information will still appear in the profile update request.  This needs to be done by the school in Edit mode in the students profile.
