Your school’s student data is now in Consent2Go, and it is time to check that the data is accurate.

The purpose of this check is to make sure that only parents with the right to receive information about their student, are in Consent2Go.

This task will need to be done by a staff member who has sound knowledge of the family situations for students in the school. This process should take about 30 minutes.

Best Students to Check:

Identify students in the school who have complex family situations. These may include:

• having court-ordered restrictions for one or both parents;

• where the student is an independent minor;

• being a ward of the state so the student lives in foster care; or

• having one parent deceased, but that parent’s details are still in the school’s admin system.

How to Check:

The Data Verification process is simply identifying the students, and then checking that their parent/guardian details are accurately reflected in their Consent2Go record and aligned to their record in the school’s administration system. To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Enter into the Students tab via the left hand menu

2. Identify the student within the list, and select the green arrow besides their name

3. Click 'Contact' in the left tabs

4. Review the Parent/Guardian information and ensure it is correct

What to do if this doesn't match?

If you identify that your student's data does not match, complete the validation with another few students to see if this is occurring throughout the system, or just for that one student. If this is simply for one student, correct the errors as needed.

If the data is incorrect for more than one student, please contact our friendly support staff for help.

We hope this guide helped.
