This article will provide an overview of each event type within Consent2Go

Introduction

There are 4 main event types:

  • Same Day
  • Recurring
  • Overnight
  • Low Risk

Same Day

A Same Day event may be an incursion or excursion that only occurs on one date. For example, a trip to the zoo, or a sports carnival on school grounds.

Recurring (Multi-Date)

A Recurring event is an event that is happening across multiple dates or weeks, but only requires one response from parents/guardians. Such as weekly band rehearsals happening every Friday.

Overnight

An Overnight event is also known as a camp. This can be interstate, intrastate or international, and is any event that requires students to spend a night in accommodation. For example, a trip to Canberra, or an outdoor education camp.

Low Risk

A Low Risk event is one that does not require planning to be approved. Such as a visit from Constable Care that requires students to miss their general timetable. Please note: Not all schools use Low Risk events.
