This article will discuss the Profile Update function, and how to send these to families
Introduction
Profile Updates are a key part of managing student data within Consent2Go. These invitations allow parent/guardians to update the below information, as required:
- Their Contact Information
- Emergency Contact Details
- Student Medical Conditions
- School based questions or permission (such as photo permissions, over the counter medication consent, and more!)
Profile updates can be send in bulk to students, or individually. We recommend a bulk update is sent at least once per year to ensure your information is up to date and accurate.
Sending Profile Updates in Bulk
To send profile updates in bulk, navigate to the ‘Students’ tab. Once there, click on the ‘Tools’ dropdown box to the top right of the screen. Then select ‘Profile update to all’.
A pop-up will display, asking you to choose how long you would like the links to remain open, select if this should be sent to all students or just those that have not yet responded, and outline the email note to accompany the update.
Once these details have been provided, select "Confirm" to send this to families.
Sending Profile Updates Individually
To send profile updates to individual students, find the student through the ‘Students’ tab, then click the ‘actions’ bar at the right of the screen. From the drop-down box, select ‘Profile Update Invitation’.
The pop-up display for this option, allows you to choose an expiry date for the invitation, and review the email note.
You can view if a student has an active profile update by selecting the green arrow besides their name. If there is a blue bar that reads 'Profile P1' or 'Profile P2', the student has an incomplete profile update pending.
